Accessibility & Fitness
If as part of your Ugandan safari you take part in a walking safari; such as chimp trekking in Kibale and gorilla trekking in Uganda, you will require a medium level of fitness. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND a pre-trip routine of building up your fitness levels; by increasing both the length and gradient of your walks or treks at home – this will make a difference to the enjoyment of your gorilla trek. Expect high humidity during the treks and in particular for the gorilla trekking, vegetated, slippy slopes, which require a certain level of hip flexibility to avoid injury. If you sue a pole for walking take one and remember that the local porters can carry your camera bag; which not only lightened the load, but reduces sweating on your back. We do provide full and detailed ‘Traveller Tips’, which explain about the different treks and advice on clothing requirements
