The opportunity for an exhilarating self-drive wildlife safari in Namibia is top of many safari-goers wish lists and can help you make an even deeper connection with Southern Africa's immense national parks and diverse wildlife. As well as the huge and wildlife rich Etosha national park, which provides a 'gentle' introduction to wildlife safaris in the north of the country for self-drive safari visitors, there are a huge variety of other lesser known parks which should be added to your itinerary. As well as the wildlife, you have some of the worlds most stunning coastal scenery, with the drive along the Skeleton Coast, from Walvis to Terrace Bay and the vast Namib Desert; home to plants and animals found nowhere else on the planet. The lack of major industries and pollution make the stargazing in Namibia truly spectacular!
For our bespoke and small group photo safaris in South Africa, we are trying to bring something different to the table and visit some of the more off the beaten wildlife reserves and national parks which are less well known to first-time visitors. For the more adventurous travellers who are happy to self-drive, we can look at combining some stunning wildlife destinations; such as the Mokala national park, Witsand nature reserve and Kgalagadi Transfrontier national park. We also work with some luxurious and stunning wilderness lodges, such as Tswalu and Zimango. So, whether you are after a self-drive looking for the Big 5; as well as viewing Great Whites and Southern Right Whales (Big 7); or looking for some of the rarer beautiful, South African wildlife, such as Aardvark or Black-Footed Cat. Drop us an email at Wildlife Trails and we will create a wildlife safari which will live long in the memory and not break the bank - we believe in excellence and fair pricing.
