Leopard safari India - Discover a mini Yala in southern Rajasthan

Leopard safari in India in the Bera region of Rajasthan
We have been visiting this area of Rajasthan since 2004, when we came and saw 8 wild leopards; including a mating pair. Leopard are never easy to see close to Indias tiger sanctuaries, as tigers will easily kill leopards to ensure they are no threat to their cubs; or just because leopards compete for similar food resources. Therefore if you want to find the best places to see leopards in India, you must find wildlife sanctuaries where they are the 'top cat' and are more comfortable being seen during the day. The Bera region of southern Rajasthan is such a location and although sightings of leopards are often at distance and require a spotting scope or big lens, they are seen daily and often in very beautiful habitat; consisting of jumbled huge rock boulders, scrub forests, tribal villages and multiple caves where the female leopards can hide their cubs from danger. You will have an expert local naturalist taking you to the leopard hot spots and maximising your time with this most beautiful of cats. This is an Indian wildlife holiday for people looking to experience authenticity off the beaten track.
