India wildlife tour with bespoke tiger safari in Ranthambhore
7 days from £1060* 3 reviews
India wildlife tour to Ranthambhore: It seems so long ago now; a cold February morning in 1997 when I stepped off the train at Sawai Madhopur ready to offer my services as a biologist to the park authorities at Ranthambhore National Park. Naive and passionate in equal measure, I was soon throwing myself into a whole range of activities, including meeting the park director, trying to organise anti-poaching patrols, and visiting various NGO projects all around Ranthambhore. However, the real magic was happening inside the park and although my backpacker budget did not allow many safaris in the park, I was privileged to see a tigress on my very first drive; by a little chatri, near the legendary Padam Talao Lake. Only 1 month before I had been watching a wildlife documentary by the wonderful (if slightly grumpy) Valmik Thapar about Ranthambhore, which convinced me to change my airline ticket and travel to this beautiful park - the rest, as they say is history. Wildlife Trails is incredibly proud of what we have achieved at Ranthambhore, with our village projects that proved tourism can be beneficial to the local villagers. We are also proud that we have shown every Wildlife Trails client who came to Ranthambhore with us the full spectrum of its beauty. We get under the skin of a National Park like no other company, by working with local guides who have a genuine love for wildlife and their local communities. Join us on a bespoke tiger safari in Ranthambhore and see this park in a different light on your India wildlife tour.
