This incredibly diverse wildlife tour starts with a visit to the world famous Sepilok Orangutan sanctuary in Borneo, before heading to the true wilderness of Danum Valley. We then switch our attention to the Orangutans and Gibbons of Kalimantan; reached on our own private traditional boat (Klotok). We then fly onto Bali to start our quest for the incredible Komodo Dragon. This beautiful part of the world is also famous for its epic snorkelling and beautiful islands and corals; which we access via our stunning sailing boat - just magical!


This is a Small Group Tour

  1. Day 1

    Arrive at Sandakan airport; where you will be met and transferred to MY Nature Resort for your overnight accommodation.

  2. Day 2

    Morning feeding of Orangutans and then visit Sun Bear sanctuary. Night time walk at Sepilok. Overnight at MY Nature Resort

  3. Day 3

    After breakfast you will be transferred 3 hours to Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Upon arrival check into lodge and continue with jungle activities with private guide. In the evening, continue with night safaris by shared vehicle.

  4. Days 4&5

    Two full days of tailored private jungle activities with your own personal guide.

  5. Day 6

    Drive back to Sandakan for flight to Jakarta. Overnight at a mid-range airport hotel

  6. Day 7

    Morning flight from Jakarta to Pangkalan. Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport you will be picked up by your guide and drive
    to Kumai for 20 minutes board on private Klotok river boat. The boat is a traditional Klotok wooden river boat about 12m
    by 2.5m with roof upper deck where you can view the rain forest as it glides by. Overnight on the boat.

  7. Day 8

    Travel up river for about 2½ hours boating and then up a side creek to Camp Leakey where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rainforest and also known as research centre for orangutan Jungle trekking for Orangutans and other wildlife. Overnight on the boat.

  8. Day 9

    After breakfast on board the klotok we travel up the river for Pondok Tanguy, the rehabilitation center for the new ex-captive orangutans, see feeding time at 09.00am. Afterward continuing the trip to Pesalat replantation camp. Overnight on the boat.

  9. Day 10

    Free morning program. Awake early to hear the dawn chorus again, enjoy another good
    breakfast, then travel back down river to Kumai. Transfer back to the airport for your flight to Jakarta. Overnight airport hotel.

  10. Day 11

    Fly from Jakarta to Bali where you will be met and transferred to the Besakih Beach hotel.

  11. Day 12

    Transfer to the airport, then fly to Labuhan Bajo. Then, we set sail to Rinca Island, app 2.5 hr sail. Upon arrival at the island, we will have a 45 minute walk to the jungle to find the Komodo in their natural habitat. Overnight on the boat.

  12. Day 13

    At the appropriate time, we set sail to Padar island, app 2.5 hr sail by our boat. Walk down from the top, then we will have snorkel activity at the peaceful bay of Padar Island.

  13. Day 14

    At the appropriate time, together with the local ranger, we walk to Banu Nggulung the former feeding ground to watch the Komodo Dragons. It is about two km for one-way walking (app 1.5 hr one-way walk). There is Komodo Nature Park Museum, take your chance to have a look. After the short walk, we head back to the boat, then sail to Gili Lawa on the Northeast from Komodo Island.

  14. Day 15

    Today, we set sail to Labuhan Bajo via Sebayur Island. Sebayur island is another island with nice snorkel area in West Flores waters.
    If weather and sea condition permitted, we will make a visit to Manta Point, a famous site for Manta Ray sights not too far from Gili Lawa before heading to Sebaur island. Overnight at Waecicu Eden Beach.

  15. Day 16

    At the appropriate time, we leave the hotel to visit famous Batu Cermin Cave. Batu Cermin is the Indonesian name for Mirror Rock. Shown is the limestone Mirror Rock that gives this outcrop its name. Depending on the time of year the canyon between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. and is reflected on the walls which creates a spectacular visual effect.


Cost £4335 per person based on two people sharing a double/twin room throughout. Costs do not include international flights.
