Borneo Accommodation

Borneo Rainforest lodges: We really are spoilt in Borneo with the variety and quality of the lodges available to our clients. Most of them offer rustic but mid-quality accommodation, consisting of rooms with ensuite bathrooms and have been built in a sympathetic way to blend in with their jungle surroundings. Some of our favourite lodges we use for your Boreno Tour are Borneo Rainforest Lodge at Danum Valley, Myne Resort on the Kinabatangan River and Tabin Wildlife Resort. In addition, we are able to hand pick specific properties to suit our clients aspirations; for example, birders looking to find the rare Bornean Ground Cuckoo would be booked into the highly regarded Kinabatangan Jungle Camp.

Borneo Diving: Borneo and in particular the legendary dive site of Pulau Sipadan have become famous around the world for the quality of its diving. High quality beach resorts catering for this gorwing market have developed around the key dive sites in Sipadan. Some of the best known and remote lodges are Sipadan-Kapalai Dive Resort and Lankayan Island Resort - although this is an option that works for both divers and non-divers, with nesting Green and Hawksbill turtles being a huge attraction.

Borneo Beaches: Borneo is blessed with incredible beaches both near the capital Kota Kinabalu, as well as on many of the beautiful islands which surround the country. Some of our clients favourites are Gaya Island Resort and Gayana Eco Resort, for its great work in the field of conservation. As always at Wildlife Trails when we design your Borneo tour, we try to work with lodges and local operators that give something back to the local commuity and conserve the resident fauna and flora.
