Gorilla trekking in Uganda

When Wildlife Trails organised a return visit to Uganda and Rwanda in 2010, it was already clear that these two destinations were becoming overpriced. Ground agents used to well-off American and European visitors let their pricing get out of control and placed one of the ultimate wildlife experiences beyond the budget of the majority - Wildlife Trails wanted to remedy that, and at the same time bring back a bit of adventure and originality into travelling to this region. There are many simple camp sites in Uganda’s national parks, which if you have your own tents are very cheap to stay in and offer a completely different perspective of the area. In addition, by visiting local markets to buy your provisions you are directly contributing to the local people, rather than putting all your money into a privately owned lodge. Yes, you do need to set up your own simple 2 person tent and get stuck doing some camp fire cooking - although for the lazy amongst you, there are often cheap and reasonable local restaurants you can visit if the day has been a long one. These camping adventures are incredibly well-priced and allow you to explore these countries in a more simple and sympathetic way. Join Wildlife Trails on a well priced, experty guided budget gorilla trekking tour of Uganda.
