Wildebeest Migration in the Masai Mara Kenya
We get the timing just perfect for you to enjoy the wildebesst migration in the Mara in late September. Although the movement of the vast herds of wildebeest is far from an exact science, late August and the month of September are considered the best time to see the Wildebeest migration. We have the beautiful Entim Camp reserved for our Kenya wildlife tour in the last week of September. We fly-in to the camp from Wilson airport in Nairobi and have 5 amazing nights. The choice of safari lodge in the Masai Mara during the Wildebeest migration is a very important factor, as lodges which are close to the major river crossing allow their clients to reach the action much sooner and not be faced with the same 'crowding' that effects some of the
This is a Small Group Tour
Arrive into Nairobi and connect with a flight from Wilson to the Mara. On arrival we will be transferred to the beautiful Entim Camp for our overnight accommodation. We will enjoy our first game drive as we drive from the Mara airstrip to the beautifully located Entim Camp
After your early morning wake up call, including tea or coffee and cookies we head out early for our first morning drive. An early start, however by far the best time to catch predators, such as lion and leopard at their most active. We will be out all morning, taking breakfast in the bush and returning to camp in time for lunch. After lunch you will have time for a quick snooze, a dip in the pool or simply relax by the river with a book, before we meet again at around 3-3:15pm for tea & pancakes before our afternoon game drive. After time for showers we join as a group for dinner in the restaurant.
Three full days of morning and afternoon game drives as we look to observe the magnificent Wildebeest migration; but also maximise our big cat sightings.
After breakfast we will take a morning flight back to Wilson. We will then be transferred to the international airport to connect with a flight to Kigali, Rwanda. On arrival we will be met and transferred 3 hours to ‘Mountain View Gorilla Lodge’ for your overnight accommodation.
