India wildlife holiday with bespoke tiger safari at Bandhavgarh national park
8 days from £975* 3 reviews
India wildlife tour and tiger safari to Bandhavgarh national park.
A tiger sanctuary with a rich history and famous for 'tiger legends', such as Charger, Laxmi and B2, who thrilled visitors during the 90’s and lived way beyond the normal life expectancies of wild tigers. However, such a high density of tigers in a relatively small park brings it own unique challenges, and there have been plenty of incidents with tigers attacking livestock on the edges of the parks and villagers looking for swift reprisals, never mind the territory disputes between the tigers themselves. Most of the time there is an uneasy truce between the wildlife and the villages which surround their sanctuary. If only we could use the tourism income more effectively to create more equal wealth distribution around the park; that is a challenge that still needs to be overcome. However the offspring of B2 live on and continue to enthrall all those who visit Bandhavgarh National Park with their vigour and defiance. So join us on this bespoke India wildlife tour to Bandhavgarh.
