Bespoke tiger safari to Satpura and Pench - more wildlife, less people on this Indian wildlife tour!
10 days from £1930*
India wildlife tour taking the path less travelled!
Aside from the tigers that many will remember from the BBC ‘Spy in the Jungle’ documentaries, Pench is home to many other notable residents, including sloth bear, gaur, Nilgai, wild dog, chausingha, leopard and lesser cats, jackals, rhesus macaque and flying squirrels. Pench is most famous within India for its large Gaur population and Indian families will travel to the park specifically to see these Indian Bison grazing in the large grasslands (making it busier at weekends). Approximately 250 bird species are listed in the park, including many winter migrants. Of particular interest are Grey and Malabar Pied Hornbills, Eurasian Thick Knee, White-naped Woodpecker and Oriental Honey Buzzard. Satpura is physically an absolute gem of a park, with magnificent unspoilt forest, few visitors and a whole variety of activities that can be undertaken inside the park; including walking safaris, jeep drives, elephant rides, boat safaris, staying in portable hides and night time safaris near the park boundary. Birding is excellent within and around the park and although tiger sightings are not common, this is a great location for people looking to escape the crowds and gain a real appreciation of wildlife and wilderness in central India. So join us on a bespoke India wildlife tour to Pench and Satpura.
