India tiger safari visiting Ranthambhore and Kanha; staying at the best Indian wilderness lodges.

India wildlife tour and 'slow tiger safari' to Bandhavgarh and Kanha
A tiger safari in India visting Ranthambhore and Kanha, is like sweet and sour in Asian cooking; they compliment each other perfectly. Take the noise, passion and excitement of close up tiger sightings in Ranthambhore, and then mix it with the slow, methodical, tracking of tiger pugmarks on a chilled Kanha morning and you have balance - isn’t that what we all strive for in life? These two parks perhaps afford the greatest diversity in Indian mammal and bird species; add in Corbett or Kaziranga and that would be one amazing ‘pick and mix’. From India’s smallest and largest antelope, chinkara and nilgai to the beautiful blackbuck in and around Ranthambhore to one of precious few populations of barasingha at Kanha grazing near the almost mythical looking gaur, and a realistic chance for dhole. Each park is rich in a diversity of habitats, from dry rocky plateaus, to extensive grasslands, dense forest and large enough lakes and rivers to attract an impressive variety of resident and migratory birds. A wonderful combination for this bespoke India tiger safari.
